Elior UK has announced that Catherine Roe has taken the decision to step down from her role as Chief Executive Officer, with Michal Seal appointed to succeed her.

The move marks the conclusion of an exceptional career with the Elior Group spanning more than 20 years, including the past 12 years leading Elior UK. During her tenure as CEO, Roe has played a significant role in shaping the business, overseeing substantial growth in both revenue and profitability while helping to strengthen the company’s position within the UK contract catering sector.

Recognised for her people-focused leadership style, Roe has been instrumental in driving the transformation of the organisation and building its reputation across multiple sectors.

To support a smooth leadership transition, she will remain with the business until 30 September 2026, working closely alongside Seal during the handover period.

Seal currently serves as Managing Director Healthcare and has established a strong reputation as a strategic and commercially focused leader. She has been credited with successfully returning Elior UK’s healthcare division to sustained profitability through a combination of growth initiatives, client retention, operational improvements and disciplined cost management.

Before joining Elior, Seal spent more than seven years with SSP Group, where she held a number of senior roles and played a key part in delivering sales growth, profitability and brand development through innovation and commercial leadership.

Her appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for Elior UK as the business looks to build on its recent successes and continue its growth trajectory.
