Thomas Franks has appointed Angela Bettoni as its new Ambassador for Disability Inclusion.
Bettoni, 25, is an activist, performer and writer who has Down’s syndrome. Born in Oxford and now based in Malta, she will work with teams and clients across the Thomas Franks portfolio to support training programmes and help develop inclusive workplace practices.
The appointment forms part of Thomas Franks’ commitment to create 200 jobs across its global business through an inclusive employment programme.
Bettoni will work with the company as it develops that programme, with a particular focus on moving inclusion beyond representation towards creating a stronger sense of belonging within teams.

Angela Bettoni said: “No assumptions, please! That’s always been my favourite phrase, whether I’m on stage, writing, or meeting new people. Inclusion is only the beginning. I want to make sure every person at Thomas Franks, and everyone they work with, feels like they genuinely belong.”
Blain Shepherd, CEO of Thomas Franks, said: “Angela brings perspective and energy to this role that will genuinely shape how we think about inclusion, not just as a policy but as something lived out across every one of our locations.
“Her instinct to challenge assumptions is exactly what we need as we build a sector-leading inclusive employment programme, and I’m delighted to welcome her to the Thomas Franks family.”
Victoria Freeman, Chief People Officer at Thomas Franks, said: “Creating an inclusive, collaborative culture where individuals feel valued, supported and empowered to thrive has always been at the heart of what we do. Angela’s voice, honesty, and lived experience will be invaluable as we take the next step in that journey, moving from inclusion to belonging. We’re thrilled to have her on board.”
Bettoni will work directly with Thomas Franks teams and clients, helping to embed disability inclusion across training, workplace culture and day-to-day operations.
Her appointment follows Thomas Franks being named Foundation Partner of the Accessible Hospitality Alliance earlier this month, recognising the catering company’s ongoing involvement in accessibility and inclusive employment initiatives.
