TRGC has opened the first UK rail-based Jones the Grocer at London Waterloo after signing an exclusive development agreement to expand the food and beverage brand across major UK railway locations.

The Waterloo site opened on 22 September and represents the first move into the UK rail sector for the partnership, following the launch of two Jones the Grocer locations at Heathrow Terminal 2 in 2024.
Further railway locations are expected to follow as TRGC expands its operations beyond airports and into high-footfall rail hubs.
Founded in Australia in 1996 and now headquartered in Dubai, Jones the Grocer operates across a number of international markets, including travel locations.
The new Waterloo venue is operated by TRGC and will trade from 7am until 11pm.
Its all-day offer combines dine-in and grab-and-go options, including breakfast, sandwiches, bakery products, hot dishes and speciality coffee.
The menu has been developed for a mixture of commuter, leisure and business customers, including weekend brunch and lunchtime trade.
TRGC said the format has been adapted for high-volume transport locations, with an emphasis on speed of service and consistency alongside freshly prepared food.
The Waterloo opening also builds on the operator’s experience running hospitality concepts across UK airports.
Jonathan Knight, CEO of TRGC, said: “We’re really pleased to be building on our existing partnership with Jones the Grocer and bringing the brand into UK rail, starting with Waterloo. It’s a concept we know works well in travel environments, and one where we see real long-term potential as we expand beyond airports.
“We’ve built a strong relationship with Yunib and the team through our airport locations, and this next step feels like a natural progression. Waterloo gives us a great platform to launch from, with strong potential to grow the concept across further locations.”
Yunib Siddiqui, CEO of Jones the Grocer, added: “Expanding into UK rail is a natural next step in the evolution of the brand within travel environments.
“This partnership enables us to introduce Jones the Grocer to a new, high-frequency audience through a format that is both relevant and scalable. With TRGC’s operational expertise, we are well positioned to deliver a consistent, quality-driven experience in this channel.”
The London Waterloo opening forms the first stage of a wider UK rail development strategy, with additional locations planned at major transport hubs.
