The Signet Collection Grows Its Pride with a Series of Big Hires

As The Signet Collection prepares to grow as it announces a series of new hires, bringing on board top talent and taking key functions in-house to drive the brand forward through this next exciting chapter.

Great food and drink, served with genuine hospitality, is at the very heart of The Signet Collection. In recognition of this, and to continue to develop and enhance dining experiences within the hotels, Richard Robinson has been brought on as Culinary Director. Previously Group Executive Chef at Company of Cooks, part of the CH&CO group, Richard supported the culinary efforts across sites including the Royal Opera House, Kew Gardens, RHS Garden Wisley, Royal Academy of Arts, Southbank Centre, Olympia London and events such as the Buckingham Palace Garden Parties.
With great food has to be great wine and so Jack Bartholomew rounds off the Food & Beverage team as Head of Wine. Previously the Managing Director of Carvers Hill Estate in Marlborough and with a history of Account management at Montrachet Fine Wine Merchants and Laithwaites, Jack brings a fine eye and exquisite taste to the role.

Taking the helm at The Mitre is Christopher Drodge who joins as General Manager. Chris previously worked for The Pig and Chewton Glen, so brings a wealth of experience and new ideas to The Mitre and will be integral in taking the hotel forward, starting with the relaunch of the terrace areas ahead of the summer.

Leading all things People is HR Director Daniel Vale. Previously at Brownsword Hotels and Abode Hotels Group, Daniel is an experienced Group Human Resources Manager and a specialist in Catering, Food & Beverage, Hotel Management, Hospitality Industry, and HR Policies.

In order to tell the story of the brand, Marketing and PR have been centralised and brought in-house for the first time. Jen Paylor, formerly RBH and Hamilton Hotel Partners will take the lead as Commercial and Marketing Director. Working alongside Jen and managing all the PR efforts is Charlotte Crofts, previously Mason Rose and Virgin Limited Edition, as PR & Communications Manager.
