Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is set to connect with Montenegro through the opening of Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Teuta Kotor Bay. Opening this month, the 151-room waterfront retreat sits in the heart of Risan, one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast, offering a tranquil escape with views of the UNESCO-protected Bay of Kotor.

Founded in 1948, Mövenpick pioneered the Swiss restaurant scene and evolved into an international hotel brand with inventive culinary excellence at its heart. Today, that same generous and creative hospitality lives on in each of its 130+ hotels around the world, where cuisine serves as the cornerstone for fostering meaningful human reconnection and driving positive change.

This latest addition marks another important step in the brand’s ongoing expansion across Europe, adding to other recent first entries in Poland, Greece, Italy and Armenia, as well as the upcoming launch in the UK in 2027.

Małgorzata Kalinowska-Klimek, Vice President Franchise Operation Eastern Europe at Accor, said: “Montenegro is gaining strong momentum as a travel destination, celebrated for its natural beauty and cultural richness. With Mövenpick’s arrival, we are introducing a hospitality experience rooted in generosity, where food, shared moments and a strong sense of place come together to create something truly meaningful for guests.”

Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Teuta Kotor Bay blends contemporary comfort with traditional Montenegrin design, incorporating natural stone elements and warm interiors. The hotel features a wide array of rooms and suites with private balconies, alongside a wellness area including a large indoor pool, Finnish sauna and steam room, as well as an infinity pool and a private beach club.

At the heart of the experience, the hotel’s restaurant and bar celebrate the flavours of the Adriatic through fresh seafood and regional specialities, complemented by Swiss-inspired classics. Designed for sharing and discovery, the culinary offering reflects Mövenpick’s heritage of bringing people together around the table.

Families are welcomed with dedicated experiences, including the Little Birds Club for children aged 3 to 12, offering creative activities that encourage play, imagination and connection.

Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Teuta Kotor Bay is located 25 km from Tivat International Airport, 50 km from Dubrovnik, and 100 km from Podgorica. The hotel is committed to responsible hospitality, with sustainable practices and eco-friendly amenities aligned with Green Globe standards.
