JENKI has unveiled plans to double its London estate by the end of 2026, with five new locations scheduled to open across the capital.

The expansion will take the premium matcha brand to 11 sites and is expected to establish JENKI as Europe’s largest dedicated matcha bar operator.

New locations are planned for Soho, Liverpool Street, St Paul’s, Fitzrovia and Marylebone, with openings scheduled between August and the end of 2026.

The growth comes as consumer demand for matcha-based drinks continues to increase, with the brand positioning itself at the centre of London’s emerging matcha culture.

According to JENKI, the new sites have been selected using a combination of customer demand data, footfall analysis and local market insights. The company works with a specialist data modelling partner to identify locations that align with its target customer base and growth strategy.

The new openings will expand JENKI’s presence across a number of London’s key business, retail and lifestyle districts while enabling the brand to tailor each location to its surrounding community.

Commenting on the expansion, Otto Boyer, co-founder of JENKI, said: “We’re opening where our customers are already telling us they want JENKI to be. Matcha has become part of everyday life for more people across the UK, and we’re seeing that reflected in demand across London. These new openings allow us to bring JENKI to more communities while continuing to invest in the quality, craft and customer experience that has defined us from the beginning.”

Founded by Claudia and Otto Boyer in 2020, JENKI began as a market stall and pop-up operation before developing into a specialist matcha brand with locations including Selfridges, Spitalfields, Covent Garden, Borough Market, Canary Wharf and Battersea Power Station.

Alongside its continued London expansion, the business has confirmed it is exploring opportunities in regional cities as part of a broader growth strategy planned for 2027 and beyond.
