IRO Sushi has opened two new sites in Maidenhead and Bristol as it accelerates its UK expansion strategy.

The openings mark a significant step for the sushi brand, with Bristol becoming IRO Sushi’s first location in the South West.
Amid rising demand for high-quality, high-protein meals, IRO Sushi is pursuing an ambitious strategy to grow to 100 sites by 2030.
The brand is targeting new towns and cities across the country where it does not already have a presence, bringing restaurant-quality sushi to customers at accessible prices.
The two new openings are in strategically important locations for the business.
Maidenhead will strengthen the brand’s presence in the Home Counties, while Bristol will introduce IRO Sushi to consumers in the South West for the first time as the business looks to establish itself as a household name.
Alongside the new openings, IRO Sushi has several additional stores in development, including Basingstoke and Ipswich.
Leases have also been signed in Salisbury and two locations in South London.
With all sites expected to open before the end of the summer, IRO Sushi is on track to reach 40 sites, with between 10 and 15 new openings planned during the calendar year.
All new stores will feature the brand’s enhanced store design, inspired by traditional Japanese izakayas.
Each site has been designed to offer customers an authentic experience, underpinned by technology to support operational performance.
Chhong Sherpa, Founder and CEO of IRO Sushi, said: “Opening two sites in a week that are nearly 100 miles away from one another has been a real test for our teams, but I’m so proud of how the team has adapted.
“Now, we have two fantastic new stores in areas of real strategic importance for our brand that create a platform for us to introduce more consumers with restaurant-quality sushi at affordable prices.”
The openings reflect IRO Sushi’s continued momentum as it expands into new regional markets and strengthens its position within the UK’s fast-growing food-to-go and casual dining sector.
