Daish’s Holidays has secured planning approval for a £1.5 million expansion and refurbishment of its Sandringham Hotel in Weston-super-Mare.
The investment represents the second phase of improvements at the seafront property following a £250,000 bedroom refurbishment completed in 2025.
Plans include a two-storey extension incorporating a 180-cover restaurant on the ground floor and a roof terrace accessible by lift.
The first floor will introduce new bar, café and lounge areas, while the hotel’s façade and main entrance will also undergo extensive improvements.
Daish’s Holidays said the design has been influenced by the coastal heritage of Weston-super-Mare and nearby developments including the Winter Gardens.

The project forms part of continued investment by the independent, family-owned coach holiday operator across its portfolio of UK coastal hotels.
Construction on the main extension is scheduled to begin in October, with completion expected by Easter 2027.
