To celebrate World Cocktail Day (May 13), Glasgow’s only AA-accredited five-star city centre hotel, Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel & Spa, is inviting guests to raise a glass with a specially curated menu of expertly crafted cocktails.

Marking the global occasion dedicated to the art of mixology, cocktail lovers are invited to visit the hotel’s two signature bars to sample a selection of classics and modern twists, each designed to highlight premium spirits, fresh ingredients, and the creativity of its skilled bartending team.
Located in the heart of the city, Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel & Spa boasts two stylish bar areas; iasg, the hotel’s in-house AA Accredited restaurant bar, and The Salon bar, located on the first landing of the hotel’s grand staircase.
Recently reopened to the public, the iconic space within the hotel has returned, offering visitors the choice of afternoon tea, light bites as well as the hotel’s signature pours and delicious cocktails – all served with beautiful views of Blythswood Square.
Within The Salon, guests can choose from 14 expertly crafted tipples, with a menu that celebrates both timeless classics and modern favourites.
Highlights include the bold and bittersweet Negroni, expertly mixed with Beefeater gin, Campari, Martini Rosso vermouth and orange bitters, alongside the ever-popular Espresso Martini, which mixes Absolut vodka, Kahlúa and fresh espresso for the perfect pick-me-up.
Meanwhile, discerning drinkers can also explore an inventive cocktail offering at iasg restaurant, where signature serves include the floral and refreshing Fleur de Paradis, the locally inspired Rally Fizz made with Glaswegin and prosecco, and the striking Oyster Shell Martini, crafted with Isle of Bute gin and Mara seaweed salt for a distinctive coastal twist.
Both spaces offer relaxed yet sophisticated settings, creating the ideal destinations for after-work drinks, weekend gatherings, or a spontaneous evening out.
“World Cocktail Day is the perfect opportunity to celebrate not just great drinks, but the social experiences that come with them,” said Brodie Green, Director of Operations.
“Our bar spaces are welcoming places for guests to unwind, connect, and enjoy something special, whether that’s a timeless favourite or a bold new flavour.”
The hotel encourages both visitors and guests to take part in the celebration and rediscover one of the city centre’s hidden gems.
