The Nero Group has reported record sales of £670 million for the financial year ending 31 May 2026, representing an 8% increase.

Like-for-like sales across the group increased by 4.1%, with the business reporting market share growth across its international territories.
The Nero Group operates 1,191 stores across 11 countries and employs more than 11,000 people.
During the financial year, the group opened 72 new stores, including 16 added through its acquisition of Compass Coffee in Washington DC.
In the UK, Caffè Nero recorded like-for-like sales growth of 4.5%, while total sales increased by 5%.
Growth was supported by demand for iced drinks, with sales in the category increasing by 52%. Matcha accounted for a significant proportion of that growth.
The group expects to open at least 80 additional stores during the current financial year as it continues to expand its international estate.
Founder and Group CEO Gerry Ford said: “I’m hugely encouraged by the Group’s performance during the last financial year. Despite tough trading conditions, a challenging financial climate and geopolitical conflicts, we have continued to outperform the market and gain market share.
“We are focussed on the premium end of the coffee market and have been able to take a leadership role in that segment.
“Our success is a testament to the hard work of our store teams, the strength of our brand and the great innovation and delivery of premium coffee, iced drinks and service.
“I’m really proud of what all our people have delivered over the last 12 months. We enter the current financial year with strong momentum and have set ourselves up well for another successful year.”
The Nero Group operates six brands in the UK: Caffè Nero, Coffee#1, 200 Degrees, Harris+Hoole, FCB Coffee and Aroma.
