The aha Forum back home in London, fresh from Malta

The aha Forum, in Partnership with Thomas Franks, returns home to London on 9 June at Barings in the City of London.

Across the past year, from the first London forums to the recent international forum in Malta, Accessible Hospitality Alliance (aha) has developed from a movement into a growing community of change makers.

Membership followed the second London forum, with operators from many of the industry’s most respected names choosing to become part of the aha community.

What stands out is the pace of membership growth, and its breadth.

From 19th century Inverlochy Castle in the north of Scotland, through Swinton Estate on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, to the City of London with the 21st century steel and glass tower that is Pan Pacific London, and down to the south coast at Marsham Court Hotel, operators across the United Kingdom are engaging with accessibility in ways that reflect their individual character, while aligning around a shared direction: a hospitality world that welcomes everyone.

As aha membership continues to build, the June forum will reflect that, with member organisations represented by their Access Champions, responsible for ensuring accessibility is active across both guest and colleague experience.

The forum remains deliberately structured. aha is built on a simple belief: those who experience barriers understand them best and must be part of shaping solutions.

Lived experience is shared. Reflection follows. Leadership connects insight with decision making. Action flows.

Hosted at Barings in the City of London, the setting reflects strategic thinking, an appropriate backdrop as accessibility becomes more clearly understood as a commercial, cultural, and operational driver of hospitality.

Frank Bothwell, Founder of Thomas Franks and member of the Accessible Hospitality Alliance Advisory Board, reflected on the next forum saying: “We are pleased to welcome guests to Barings for The aha Forum.

“Our relationship with Barings made this possible and reflects something we value highly at Thomas Franks and Accessible Hospitality Alliance: working in environments where people feel authentically welcomed as guests and as colleagues.”

“What is developing is a growing community engaging with accessibility in ways that lead to action.

“We look forward to bringing together lived experience, operators, and sponsor partners at Barings on 9 June.”

The aha Forum, in Partnership with Thomas Franks, will take place at Barings, 20 Old Bailey, City of London, on Tuesday 9 June 2026.
