World Rooftop Day, the global celebration of rooftop culture, returns for its second year on June 26, with venues across the UK and internationally hosting special events, experiences and activations above the skyline.

The annual event was founded by rooftop expert Fee Brydon following her recovery from life-saving brain surgery.

June 26th marks the anniversary of the operation, with rooftops becoming an important part of her recovery journey, helping her reconnect socially, regain confidence and find a renewed sense of perspective.

Having visited more than 700 rooftops across 50 countries and built rooftop discovery platform Where’s the Rooftop into a community attracting more than 500,000 annual visitors,

Fee launched World Rooftop Day to celebrate the unique role rooftops can play in wellbeing, connection and escapism.

“Rooftops offer something truly special – a chance to step above the everyday, take in a new view and connect with others,” Fee added. “Whether it’s a rooftop bar, restaurant, cinema or community space, we’re encouraging venues everywhere to get involved and help people experience that magic.”

“World Rooftop Day is about celebrating the joy, connection and perspective that rooftops can bring to our lives.

“After my surgery, rooftops became a place of healing and rediscovery for me, and I’m excited to see venues around the world come together to mark the occasion.”

Participating venues already include Rooftop Cinema Club, Skyhuckster, Bubba Oasis, IZZA Marrakesh, London Bridge Rooftop and Pocket Square, with further venues across London and beyond set to be announced.
