The 10-day event, held in September, generated an estimated £475,769 for the city this year, an increase of more than £47,000 on the £428,580 recorded in 2025. The inaugural event generated £291,250 in 2024.

More than 4,450 people attended this year’s event across 29 bars, restaurants, hotels, entertainment venues and retailers in Coventry city centre.

Coventry Cocktail Week is organised by M.ad Agency in partnership with Coventry Business Improvement District (BID).

Participating venues sold an average of 277 additional cocktails during the event, with one venue recording 600 signature drink sales.

Wristband holders were able to access signature cocktails across participating venues, with every venue also offering an alcohol-free option. A total of 29 signature mocktails and 22 vegan signature cocktails were available during the event.

Kitty Siiu, from Rosie Malones, said: “Cocktail Week brought a real buzz to the area and encouraged people to visit and support local independent venues.

“It gave businesses like Rosie’s a great opportunity to showcase what we offer and attract new customers.”

Customers responding to the event’s feedback survey visited an average of nine venues, while 45% of attendees used their wristband across multiple days.

Half of those attending travelled from outside Coventry, while 89% of respondents said they would purchase a wristband for next year’s event.

Joanne Glover, Chief Executive of Coventry BID, said: “Over the last three years Cocktail Week has grown into one of the key dates in the city centre calendar, both for our hospitality businesses and their customers.

“Its impact is demonstrated through the numbers and the feedback we get from businesses, to have smashed the £1 million barrier with this year’s total for economic impact is evidence of exactly why we invested in bringing Cocktail Week to the city.”

Blush & Barrel was voted the top venue by customers, with its Shark Attack cocktail receiving the highest popularity rating.

The event also generated almost 1.6 million social media views, alongside more than 42,000 views through an influencer campaign and 27,000 visits to the Coventry Cocktail Week website.

Coventry Cocktail Week forms part of a wider programme of initiatives from Coventry BID aimed at supporting hospitality businesses and the city’s night-time economy.
