Tylney Hall Hotel & Gardens, a member of Accessible Hospitality Alliance (aha), has appointed Megan King, Events Coordinator, as its Access Champion, further embedding accessibility within the hotel’s culture.

King will help ensure accessibility remains visible, discussed, measured, and progressed across the business, reflecting Tylney Hall’s ongoing commitment to creating hospitality experiences that welcome everyone.

As Events Coordinator, King’s role places her central to the operational delivery of guest experiences, bringing practical insight to accessibility considerations across meetings, events, and wider hospitality operations.

Megan King, Events Coordinator and Access Champion, Tylney Hall Hotel & Gardens, said: “Accessibility is constantly evolving and I am honoured to serve as an Access Champion for Tylney Hall and Elite Hotels.

“Working in a Grade II listed building presents unique challenges; however, this also makes the work a meaningful and exciting opportunity to be part of. I am pleased to collaborate with a diverse network of access champions to explore innovative ways to welcome a wider community and ensure we always provide distinctively memorable experiences to all guests.”

King has already begun that engagement, attending the first meeting of The Access Champions Collective, where Access Champions from aha operator members came together to openly share experiences, challenges, and practical learning focused on accelerating accessibility progress across hospitality.

Created as a peer community for hospitality professionals entrusted with keeping accessibility visible within their organisations, The Access Champions Collective enables members to learn from one another through open exchange, shared experience, and practical action.

By appointing King and engaging in The Access Champions Collective from the outset, Tylney Hall signals that accessibility is being treated as an active operational priority rather than a standalone initiative.

Charlotte Evans, Group Partnerships Director, Accessible Hospitality Alliance, said: “Real progress in accessibility happens when it becomes part of everyday hospitality. Megan’s thoughtful approach, combined with her role at the heart of delivering exceptional guest experiences, makes her a natural fit to help ensure accessibility is embedded within Tylney Hall’s culture.”

Tylney Hall Hotel & Gardens is part of Elite Hotels, the independently owned British hotel collection that also includes Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club in East Sussex and The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne. Across the group, guest experience sits at the centre of operational culture, making accessibility an increasingly important part of how hospitality is considered and delivered.
