Accessible Hospitality Alliance is proud to announce the appointment of Professor Kim Hoque as an Ambassador, further amplifying its commitment to creating a hospitality world that welcomes everyone.
Professor Kim Hoque
Kim Hoque is Professor of Human Resource Management and Vice Dean (People & Culture) at King’s Business School, King’s College London, where his research focuses on human resource management, employment relations, and workplace inclusion. Alongside his academic leadership, he is Co-Founder of the Disability Employment Charter, a nationwide initiative that brings together more than 300 organisations (including Accessible Hospitality Alliance) to advance government policy and practice for disability inclusion in employment.
Through his work at King’s College London and the Disability Employment Charter, Professor Hoque has become a leading voice in shaping evidence-based strategies that dismantle barriers for disabled and neurodivergent people in the workplace, insights that align directly with the purpose of the Accessible Hospitality Alliance.
On his appointment, Professor Hoque said: “It is a tremendous honour to have been appointed as an ambassador for Accessible Hospitality Alliance. The Alliance has had an immense impact already in driving forward inclusion in the industry, and I look forward to doing what I can to help amplify that impact”
Denis Sheehan, Managing Director of Accessible Hospitality Alliance, welcomed the appointment: “Professor Hoque’s contribution to advancing disability inclusion across employment policy and business practice has been extraordinary. His evidence-driven approach and dedication to systemic change align perfectly with our purpose to create a hospitality world that welcomes everyone. We are honoured to have him join our growing network of Ambassadors and look forward to working together to bring his research and experience into tangible progress across the hospitality sector.”
Professor Hoque will lead one of the roundtables taking place early next month at The aha Forum, in Partnership with Thomas Franks. The roundtable will examine the role of government policy in driving inclusion, exploring how hospitality businesses can help lobby for more robust disability legislation to increase inclusion in hospitality and across the wider economy.
